Jean Morgan has been training on Apple computers since 1981. In 1990, after moving to the High Desert, she established Polymath Computing Services and has been consulting and training on the Macintosh since then. She has alway been interested in the creative arts use of the computer, particularly in digital art and multimedia. But creating a masterpiece, printing it out and hanging it on the wall isn't the world she sees when she goes to a major art show. Ceramics, quilting, needlework, constructions, collages, paintings, jewelry, woodworking, metal projects and more is what our artists are doing. How does the computer fit into that world? So, she now offers a training series aimed at the casual user who is interested in arts and crafts. Her guideline are: • Forget the expensive software!‚ • Work with small groups to bring the student training cost down. • Teach a path that ends up in the physical art world. • Learn as much and have as much fun as the students! |
